Watiz uses visual recognition to provide a Shazam-like service but for the fashion industry. The user just needs to take a picture of the desired item of clothing for the artificial intelligence program developed by the start-up to identify it and send them a link to where they can buy it.
Aimed at ecommerce companies and brands, the solution increases the conversion rate by making it easier to buy clothing, improving customer experience and creating a whole new sales channel.
Watiz publishes two modules. The first, WatStyle, is a white-label clothing recognition software that integrates into the retailer’s ecommerce app. Epick, on the other hand, is a shopping service that identifies clothing seen in TV series and movies.
