SignBook works with product and service suppliers to make their goods more accessible to people with disabilities. The use of video calls enables people with hearing impairments to communicate in sign language with a call centre advisor, who can manage the call on behalf of the disabled person. The use of bar codes or QR codes also facilitates product or service recognition for people with visual or speech impairments. The service also offers a daily news service via sign language.
