The right to health proclaimed by the World Health Organization (WHO) is unfortunately not always guaranteed in medical deserts (regions of limited or non-existing healthcare).
MedTrucks therefore decided to reduce the distance between hospitals and patients in order to make healthcare more accessible.
The start-up has designed a comprehensive solution including:
- mobile care units operating from inside a truck to take medical care straight to the patients,
- a mapping and fleet management software adapted to medical issues to optimize the mobile unit’s rounds and operations.
MedTrucks has developed a pilot project in Morocco: a truck equipped with dialysis machines can treat five patients suffering from renal issues at a time so they can avoid long and exhausting trips for care.
