The Entourage association has developed an app to create a social network that enables residents in a city or neighbourhood to communicate with homeless people and volunteer their help.
The app contains information (nearby charities or shelters), advice on street life (homeless meetings), creating or joining initiatives and interacting with the community (donating clothes etc).
An interactive map makes it possible to visualise all the activities organised by associations and identify the services homeless people need most (water fountains, hospitals, soup kitchens etc).
The aim is to help people create social links with homeless people who they may see everyday, but are unsure about how to approach or help them. A “Street Committee” made up of current or former homeless people is also involved in the association’s development.
