Awalebiz was born out of a threefold necessity: quality products made in Africa are not easy to get hold of, competition from low-cost imported goods is fierce and consumer patters are changing, especially with a growing demand for local and organic produce. It is with this in mind that the start-up chose to focus its activity on online sales and promoting African culture and craftsmanship.
Awalebiz has designed an e-commerce site offering a wide selection of products that are made by artisans and designers from all over Africa. This multi-vendor e-commerce platform connects African entrepreneurs, who are now able to export anywhere in the world, to local, regional and international buyers.
The commercial partnerships it facilitates contribute to the development of African e-commerce in B2B and B2C segments.
