Women in Africa: spotlight on the new generation of African businesswomen

As a partner of the “Women in Africa” summit, Orange is taking part in this leading international business event in Marrakech for the third year in a row on 27 and 28 June. This annual event aims to promote discussion between leading African and international businesswomen to publicise African initiatives and start-ups and support entrepreneurship. Ten African start-ups supported by Orange will be present at this year’s event.

  • Bruno Mettling, Chairman of Orange Middle East and Africa, will be speaking during the plenary session, “Africa-Europe: destination Brussels!”
  • Awatef Mosbeh, founder of Toufoula Kids, and Rokhaya Solange Mbengue, Head of Digital Ecosystem Relations at Orange Senegal, will be presenting at a networking breakfast
  • A session with three women entrepreneurs to highlight their experiences to date, and the support provided by Orange in Morocco, Tunisia, Cameroon and Senegal. They will be joined by four Orange directors who will explain how this open innovation approach promotes the development of new synergies.
