From today, Orange Fab Tunisia has launched a call for applications for start-ups to join its acceleration programme. The promise: to develop the business activities of these young entrepreneurs and help them strengthen their management skills.
“We feel very optimistic about this first call for projects and first season of Orange Fab Tunisia (opens in a new window),” says Dhekra Khelifi, who heads up the organisation. The newest member of the Orange Fab family starts its recruitment campaign today and plans to have everyone on board during November. On this subject, Dhekra Khelifi isn’t too worried about finding candidates: “The ecosystem we’ve experienced through our various initiatives – and especially through our Orange Developer Center community – is full of promising Tunisian start-ups ready to expand internationally.”
Embody collective intelligence
The acceleration programme uses the successful formula of its peers: to create a commercial partnership between a start-up and an Orange Business Unit in order to develop the business and accelerate its growth and visibility. To do this, Orange Fab Tunisia offers 100% free tailor-made support and a complete service offer (international network, personalised workshops, infrastructure and supervision, cloud services, specialised workshops, events, Demo Day etc).
“We expect start-ups and our own teams to create opportunities and work together, in harmony with the product lines set out by the Fab management team. Start-ups must be like their founders: disruptive, open and focused! In addition to these qualities and criteria, candidates must also embody a certain collective intelligence to help it face all the challenges that lie ahead!”
Interested applicants should meet the following criteria:
- meet a need of an Orange Business Unit,
- offer a technological / innovative project
- be operating as a start-up for three years or more,
- offer a service that is already being sold, or marketable, in Tunisia or elsewhere.
