Viva Technology 2017

The second edition of Viva Technology will take place in Paris on 15, 16 and 17 June. Orange will be at this truly unmissable event that brings together 5,000 start-ups as well as major companies and investors from around the world.

Promoting an ecosystem of innovative start-ups

Orange believes that when it comes to innovation, collaboration between all stakeholders reinforces creativity, efficiency and economic impact. That’s why the Group promotes synergies through an ecosystem of support, discussion and knowledge sharing as part of an open innovation and investment approach.

With this in mind, in 2017 the Group is highlighting its commitment to start-ups by renewing its partnership with Viva Technology Paris. It will be at the second edition of the tradeshow to present its ecosystem and initiatives for supporting start-ups, some of which will be joining Orange during the event.

A meeting and demo space

Orange has set up a 450m² space built around the theme of anywhere and anytime connectivity. There are four key areas that highlight the Group’s approach to co-creation with different innovation partners:

A transmedia space for content production, event coverage and social media mentoring for the start-ups present.

An Orange stand to promote the start-up ecosystem.

A networking space for arranging meetings between start-ups and investors.

40 start-up corners to highlight the innovation ecosystem.

Orange will also be presenting innovations that have resulted from synergies with start-ups including:

Holotennis, the first virtual reality experience that teleports users onto the centre court at Roland-Garros.

Spoon, an artificial creature that aids interaction between people and digital services.

Birdy King Land, a virtual reality experience halfway between cartoons and video games.

Tecbak, an IoT solution that enables people to play traditional games (such as table football) online, and interact with other players via a social network.
